Thomas dies of a broken heart.
Thomas Crowley is a minor character in Hatchet, Hatchet II, and Hatchet III. He is the widower of his first wife Shyann Crowley, the widower of his second wife Lena Crowley, and the father of Victor Crowley.

History[]
Thomas Crowley was born in New Orleans, where he met his first wife Shyann Crowley. Shyann grew terminally ill and Thomas hired Lena, a nurse who he later had an affair with. Thomas and Lena had presumed Shyann had died from her illness. Thomas, grief stricken, sought comfort in the arms of Lena. Shyann awoke to find her husband being unfaithful. She arose pointing at them as they began to weep, begging for her forgiveness. Their pleas fell on deaf ears as she placed a curse on Lena’s baby and died.
Many months later Lena, pregnant with Thomas’ child, gave birth to a boy. Upon seeing Victor’s face, Lena died. Thomas, now in pain again after losing another wife, took care of his son by himself for years in the swamp. One day he drove his son to a convenience store in the country side. Local kids were very interested in who or what was in the vehicle. In the mist of things, they scared the young Victor and in return he scared them.
A few years later the same kids, now teenagers, followed Thomas back to his cabin in the swamp on Halloween night. They threw fire crackers on his porch and accidentally set a fire that engulfed the small cabin. Victor desperately cried for his father but the door was set ablaze and Victor couldn't escape. Thomas noticed the fire and tried to free his only son with a hatchet, but as Victor was pressed against the door the sharp blade pierced through the wooden door hitting Victor in the face and killing him. This left Thomas devastated that he killed his own son by mistake.
In shock over the events that had transpired, Thomas lived out the rest of his life alone in swamp until dying of a broken heart a decade later.
